The first thing I want when I wake up is a coffee. However I don’t go into Tesco and buy a container of freeze dried nescafe or kenco. I go to one of two places in the morning after departing from my home.
Espresso Project, Celbridge
This querky coffee bar (I call this cafe a bar as it is just as social as a pub can be) is located on the main street. Despite the limited seating/space , this coffee bar is kept busy with locals coming in and out every hour it is open. The baristas are friendly and welcoming, and they will sit and chat with you anytime of day.
Many a time I have ‘missed’ the 67 bus towards Maynooth and stopped into the Espresso Project for a chat and a good cup of ‘Joe’.
Atlas Coffee Bar (formerly known as Boss Hogg)
This coffee bar is the only place I can really relax in Maynooth during the busy college days. First thing I do in the morning is grab a quick coffee from Adam (proud owner & professional barista) and I’m ready for lectures. I usually pop in later on during the day for a chat and a coffee to relax before commencing any study in the evening. The combination of a good coffee selection, pleasant staff and amazing playlists sets the perfect tone to help you unwind in the evening.
Atlas also provides The Tasting Flight (tasting of two different coffees) and The Brew Flight (one coffee brewed two ways). Additionally you can order a Syphon.
If you are feeling peckish you can order one of many different cake selections available…….or just order all of them….
